This course will teach you how to create analyses and dashboards, which compose business intelligence applications. Working with expert Oracle University instructors, you'll learn how to administer the Oracle BI Presentation Catalog and build a simple Oracle BI dashboard starting with basic analyses, adding more complexity as the course progresses.

This course also teaches you how to build and verify the three layers of an Oracle BI repository. You'll use the Oracle BI Administration Tool to construct a simple repository to address a fictitious company's business requirements. Enrolling in this course will help you develop import schemas, design and build logical business models and expose business models to users in the Oracle BI user interface. While constructing the repository, you'll also learn how to build physical and logical joins, simple measures and calculation measures.
Model Complex Business Requirements
You'll also explore extending the initial repository, along with modeling more complex business requirements. This includes logical dimension hierarchies, multiple logical table sources, aggregate tables and partitions. Spend time implementing Oracle BI Server security, managing the Oracle BI Server cache and setting up a multi-user development environment.

After completing the course, students can prepare and sit for the official 1Z0-591: Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) Foundation Suite 11g Essentials examination.
Students will need to pass the 1Z0-591: Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) Foundation Suite 11g Essentials examination to achieve Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g Certified Implementation Specialist certification.
